I'm alive but I'm not well.
I don't want to scare you guys, so I'm just going to say that much for now.
Thank you for your concern, though, I really do appreciate it.

I can say for certain that I won't be posting anything here for a while. You might as well go elsewhere.

Does anyone have any good advice when it comes to not being able to sleep..? This is getting harder and harder, and I can't *function* properly at work without a full night's sleep..

And the award for doofus of the year goes to...
Guess what I did today?
Well, I got out of bed, got dressed, chatted a bit with John and Doug, brushed teeth, got backpack and went to work. Only.. when I got to the bus stop, it seemed really desolate. After standing there for five minutes, wondering if there was a bus strike or something, I take a look at my watch. Which says 5:30. Which means I've somehow gotten up at 4:30. Which means that I was an hour *early*. *shakes head* How I've managed to do this, I don't know. But oh well. *Someone* is taking a nap when she gets back from work..

Listening to the new Buffy soundtrack makes me remember all the things I love so much about this show. And it makes me horribly sad that it's over, even though I technically have two more seasons to go.. I've grown so much with this show, it's ridiculous. And I won't say anymore, cos I'll get rambly and boring. I'll save it for one of the nights I'm drunk.

"So, you know what people are expecting us to do."
John asked what I've been up to, so I thought I'd might as well tell you all.
I've gone and gotten myself sick again - yes, it's another one of those pesky colds and I am currently sniffling, sneezing, coughing and nose spray-ing myself through the days.
No work yesterday and today the temp agency called and asked if, since it's been so quiet on the hospital front lately, they could hire me for other things. I told them I was ok with that, but that I also needed a day or two to re-couperate.. (word?) or something like that. I feel so off, though - I'm so used to *doing stuff* during the day, this lying around and getting better thing takes some getting used to.
However, my boy bought me books, and I also ordered a couple myself, and they all arrived yesterday -- yes, simultaneously, imagine that -- so I have plenty to read, and today I watched my official 'in-sick' movie, 'Labyrinth', so I'll be fine.
Please, wish me a snot-free future ;P

nP: 'Liquid Diamonds' - Tori
Another * to add to the goodness of yesterday: after the movie (which I'll say more about later), Anne Marie and I was asked to take a survey about commercials, which we got free movie passes for :)
And yes, the movie was *brilliant*. Very, very funny. At several points the audience was *roaring* with laughter, especially at the bit with Cage at the drug store prescription counter. His best role yet. And the music was *so* excellent. I recommend. [edit: read the Ebert review if you don't wanna believe in me.]
Today I'm gonna try and see if I can remember this whole "relaxing" thing, and watch 'Equilibrium' and generally not give a damn until I go to schleep :)
